HOOSIERS Special: Bobby Plump who's game winning shot inspired the movie "HOOSIERS" (3-1-14)

Bobby Plump and his high school teammates were the inspiration behind the film Hoosiers with Gene Hackman.

...Plump was a member of the Milan High School basketball team that won the Indiana High School Athletic Association State Tournament in 1954. Plump was named one of the most noteworthy Hoosiers of the 20th century by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. He was also one of the 50 greatest sports figures from Indiana in the 20th century, according to Sports Illustrated.
